Barn door Handel

Is it just me that has a sticky barn door Handel,9 times out of ten it won’t open and the Handel stays pressed in,I then have to flick it back down then it will work

This is often due to misalignment of the handle onto the plinth.
Did you remove the rear wiper or has it been removed in the past?

Yeah have had it all of to get the rear wiper motor out

Yep happened to me when I took motor out..
It’s just trial & error with a set of pliers to align the metal rod up with the handle & latch..
Bend it a little at a time & try not to break the plastic retaining clip...
Oh I fixed mine.. so it can be done

Bending the rod isn't the best approach in this situation, there's adjustment in the rod end if you need it.
Take the handle and lock out from the back and make sure all is seated as it should. The lock has a couple of O-rings seals which might need to be realigned and could be holding the handle off at an angle.

Check the operation of the handle by latching the lock onto a screwdriver to simulate closing the door. Do not close the door until you are satisfied the lock is working smoothly.

Was just going on my experience as I did rive the wiper motor out and bent that metal rod in the process
