Cheers!

Just my local sign place who do vinyl work. It’s just a piece of gloss black over the chrome and then the front 5mm face over laid in red. It took them under 5 mins to do it for a few quid 👍🏻

Treated the van to some slick 50 gearbox treatment, complete with new gearbox oil.

The gearbox takes 1.8l. unfortunately I'm not the most tech savvy so adding pictures and links is way beyond my capabilities but there are loads of diys on the net, a quick Google search brought up loads of info. All you need is a 17mm alley key/hex socket to unscrew the fill and drain plugs.

The drain plug is found at the back of the box near the driveshafts and the fill plug is on the side of the box facing the front of the car.

I cut of a piece of garden hose and ran it to the top of the engine bay to make filling easier.

I'm happy to answer any questions anyone has.

Removed and painted the main grille, lower grille and fog light trim gloss black. Hydrodipped the front badge and painted the grille trim gray.

Finished soundproofing, put the loom in, put the drivers seat in and ran out of time. Have to wait until next weekend before I can finish it off.Image

Managed to get VW to cough up the cost of new suspension @73000 miles as mine has actually been f¥#ked since new.

Now I want my mudflaps replaced for free!

Spilt 2.5 litres of Zinsser primer in the back, the smelliest stickiest paint known to man. Opened side door and it poured out all over floor, what a mess! So what’s the plastic part called? Step? Threshold? Been googling for ages, whatever it’s called I need a new one.
And a really strong air freshener
