19 inch et45 8.5j tyres?

Post by Lewis1983 »

Currently looking for the right tyres to fit without rubbing.

Will be lowered on KW coilivers.

Think I need 235/35 ?

Any help would be great alloys are the phaeton replicas.

You might still get a little rubbing with 235/35 but it depends how much you lower it. 225/35 or even 215/35 might be better if you plan on going low.

I run 235 when I was on coilovers. Slight rubbing on inside rear arch liner and a tiny bit on the actual arch. I still run 235 now but I'm on air which avoids the side to side axle movement that you'll get with leaf spring set up. You'll need to remove the rear arch liners for 235.

Can cope with a little rubbing. Every now and again.

Tyres currently have 255/35/19 and it rubs alot.

What would the ride quality be like in the 225?

No real difference to 235 I'd say. Only a slight bit of stretch in comparison, nothing noticeable. Yeah 255 is a bit wide :)

I've always used 235/35/19 :)

Have a look for whatever make of tyres you like and see what's cheaper. 225 or 235. I've got michelin pilot sport 4s on mine.

Sliding door definitely, and arches depending on how low it is.

How low would you recommend dropping for a set of 19” then without any disturbance, I tend to not have anything in the back other than my golf clubs

You can go as low as you like if you have the right offset and tyre.

I’m only planning on putting some springs on the front and then on the rear a set of darkside leaf spring kit witch retail at about £160
