New caddy owner.

Firstly Hello to all on this great forum.
I have bought a 2009 caddy sdi with a seized engine. And decided to fit a 2.0 bid engine in it. I have done the change and even built the power steering pump bracket. The engine runs great. Only problem is there is a black and yellow wire that goes to the glow plug module and if I put it to the battery I get ignition on the dash and the caddy starts but with it not connected to battery the ignition stays off. Any help would be great as I'm at a dead end now.
