Caddy 4 lights. Are a 100% ball ache to take apart. I would recommend a professional to do it.

Yours are 25w D8S bulbs running on D8S 25w ballasts
I swapped to 35w D3S bulbs and 35w D3s ballasts

By swapping out the ballast the difference is decent

I used the existing leads / plugs that were in the headlights for oem d8s and plugged them straight into the D3s ballast ok
All working fine

Yes the ballast is the same I’m referring to the blue plug which plugs into the xenon bulb

Have you tried it on yours ?
Or are you just going off what someone wrote somewhere ?
A lot of guessers on forums mate
Mine fit into the d3s bulb fine
The only mod needed to do is one of the locating tabs on the headlight is different, just needed trimming a little do the d3s bulb sits and locks in ok
But the actual plug for the loom fits perfect

On the hella website it stated that the xenon bulb was a D3s so I bought a pair of osram nightbreaker bulbs at £155 the pair.
The headlights arrived and the ballasts so i assembled them and fitted the ballasts. The D3s lamp has the same 3 pin plug but the lamp is keyed to prevent interchanging them
I bought d8s bulbs and they match the wiring in the headlight and the groove in the plug fits.
I think you have bought 35w d8s bulbs and not D3s

Re: new caddy with mods planned
Got my bumper back from the paint shop today. Had a Clubsport made by 2kcaddy on insta. He’s a nice bloke and he’s done a nice job of the weld. The paint shop had a bit of work to do before finishing it, but it’s come out lovely
Had to fight the under tray on it earlier ( was a right game! ) and now waiting for the splitter to come from TPS early next week. the lower part looks incomplete without it. There’s a few clips and mounts visible on the under tray where the splitter mounts on to that show so I’m gonna hold fire till it’s here. Bad news was the splitter price! It’s horrific !!
Can’t wait to get it on.
