I’ve noticed a tiny chip at the top of mine which I didn’t when buying it. Hardly noticeable but excess is 70 for a screen so may aswell get it replaced.

Will wait a month for that though, gives me time to collect parts,

Mines just plyed so I should be able to sort mine out pretty easily, I’m thinking of maybe getting a golf camera in the badge and try to retrofit that into the barn door

Yea still 100% standard at the moment, I’ve already priced up the suspension I want but that will be a way off for now,

Fancy air on this build as I’ve not had a vehicle with it before,

The slope on the driveway there, would never off got mine anywhere near it when it was proper low.
Yes i got front lowering kit for sale but no use to you, would have the issues i had then, no good for working in.

That’s why I’m thinking air as I can still have the lows when I need them , but can raise it up when working, just a lot more expensive

Right Sunday fun day it seems for me,

Time to get the s3 8v vents fitted.

Image

That’s how I started, got the one out

Image

Then filed abit off so the 8v vents would sit in the opening,

Image

Then in it pops

Image

Other 3 to do now, I’m not happy with how loose they are when there fitted though. You can spin them quite easily in the opening which isn’t great,

Have to see if I can get behind them somehow Image

Bond them or file them and 3m extra bond, obviously can’t have it overlapping because the vent will stick out a bit. Might work.

Well 2 done, for now I’ve wrapped electrical tap around the edge of the housing to bulk it out and give it some grip it’s sorted it

Image

The middle vents are 2 hands to be able to open them though, well the one I’ve fitted so far is, because of the shape of the dash and how far in they sit, the chrome rim is biting up on the plastic

Image

I’ve not done the ducting yet, I’ll leave that for now as I’ve not worked out the best way for it, but got some ideas,

They look a million times better than standard though Image

All for in securely, will get the ducting sorted out in the next couple of weeks, although I don’t see the need to as they don’t half kick out some air Image

So I give it a quick clean, which I found I’m terrible at Image water marks all over it,

So I’ll pay for a valet next week,

Managed to get the battery box on thou, and panicked when I connected the battery back up and had an esp error but that cleared with a blast up the road thankfully Image

Image

Not new but at £20 including the tray out of an 18 plate scirocco I couldn’t say no,

And I checked the engine cover was the right one, still waiting on the fixing kit but it fits

Haha parcels come in the week and I only get Sunday and some times sat to tinker oh and evenings when I can be arsed,

But I didn’t want to file my dash for the heater vents until I had enough Time to sort it in case it didn’t go to plan.

I’m sure there’s a few things arriving next week aswell
