After fitting the upgraded coilovers up front, it was time for a little upgrade of the rear in the forum of GAZ dampers with adjustment.

Then I packed my van and headed off to Donington Park as support for my friends Porsche 993.

I’m not normally a fan of this style of wheel, but I have to say, these look brilliant and looking at pictures of this style on other vans. I’m converted

Not wanting to waste any of what remained of the summer, I got myself to Jonny at BrakeCaiperRefurbs and PureDetail for a ceramic coating on the wheels and to pick up my newly painted brake calipers.

Rear calipers are standard Caddy rears painted red

Front calipers are Porsche Boxster (non S) which fit on a standard VW 312mm disc with the VagBremTechnic adaptors

So the GTI caliper came off yesterday after a 12 month wait. Image
Excuse the rust, the van had just been washed.

I searched for 12 months for the illusive caliper adaptors for the alloy hubs but alas I have in and went back to the cast steel hubs to fit these brakes.
Image
Hubs were sand blasted and painted with new bearings fitted.

Calipers have Mintex 1144 pads fitted.

New Porsche bolts and Nordlock washers

Go check out my engine conversion topic for more details.

As it stands at present, there's a EA888 Gen3 motor in the bay and just a little bit of wiring to complete it.
