A great shot from the sunday. It was overcast all day so photos were tricky.

Well done on the win Dan, it’s making all the hard work your doing worth while... it’s great to see the van out and about at shows etc, seen quite a few pics on Instagram, looks like there was a great caddy turn out.

As for air leaks..... I FEEL YOUR PAIN

Thanks mate. Be good to see yours back out in the sunshine at some point. It’s good to take it to shows and meets as it was built to be in the public eye and not hidden away.

Wow!! What an amazing day this is. Finally can reveal that the caddy has made the front cover of Performance VW after the photoshoot back in October last year at Si Grays studio.

Don't normally post up the progress info in case something doesn't work how I want it but figured why not this time!

My tailgate doesn't shut without having the doors open and thats due to air pressure. Normally there's a vent on either side in the back (the grey piece of cardboard with holes drilled into it) that allows air out but as mine has panels over this, the air has nowhere to go. Its quite a lot of pressure too as the tailgate was pushed out of alignment due to it.

To sort this out, I've been trying to find or come up with some sort of air vent that could be installed. Looked at bonnet vents and all sorts before deciding to make my own so i've drawn up these on sketchup and sent them off to the 3D printers.

On the back you can see the recess where some speaker mesh will sit and some indents that I plan on gluing in some 'fir tree' panel clips.

These will then sit here:

Haven't decided on colours or finishes yet but its possible it will be carbon.
