JamScones’ White Caddy Build

Post by JamScones »

Hi guys,

This is my first post on the forum, but have spent some time having a look through all your cracking builds, and figured it’s about time to share what I have been doing with mine so far.

I’ve added some photos of the current build progress, and a few steps that have been taken to get where I currently am (part-way through a day/weekend van conversion for now).

The first few jobs consisted of stripping most of the old ply and carpet out, with a proper clean-up. Then fully insulated with foil-backed sticky foam.

Image

Next, the panels were re-trimmed in carpet, and roof re-cut to finish the bulkhead delete properly.

Image

The biggest task so far has been creating a working environment in the rear. The L-shape seat frame has allowed for maximum storage, while being able to convert between bed and seating area. A cupboard/shelving unit is also in the works, due to house the fuse boxes, charger and switchpanel.

Image

Only several months in, and the to do list is already getting way too big for the wallet...

Hope you will enjoy the progress, and really look forward to meeting you all in upcoming events and meets.

Cheers pal! The suede is from Harrison's Trim Supplies - its called suedeliner.
They are sometimes at camper shows, doing some deals ;)

Yes Ryan, they are the Octavia VRS alloys Image and I’m not too sure on the seats unfortunately mate, they were one of a few things already done to the van when I bought it....
