New caddy, trying to fit lowering springs

hello everyone,

im a new member and need your advice, im based in the essex area so any good company around here if i need work done in the future?

i have just bought a new 17 plate caddy 2k for works use but it looks way too high for me so i bought an H&R lowering kit, are there any guides available for how to do this job? as they do not come with any fitting instructions.

Remove centre caps
Slacken the driveshaft bolts with the wheels on the floor
Slacken wheel bolts
Jack up the front and support. Remove both front wheels
Remove droplink top nuts
Remove any wiring/brake hoses from strut
Using 16mm deep socket remove the ball joint nuts
Remove the driveshaft bolt so the shaft is free to move
Using M14 spline bit and 18mm spanner remove the pinch bolt
Then knock down on the hub, until the strut comes out of the hub (this is made easier by slightly spreading the hub apart using a small chisel or the special tool from VW, but can still be a pain)
Remove the windscreen scuttle
Using 13mm socket remove the 3 strut top bolts
The strut and spring assembly is now free to remove.

Compress the spring in a spring compressor
Remove the strut top assembly
Remove the spring
Fit new spring
Replace strut top assembly

Rebuilding is reversal of removal torquing all bolts to spec.

That’s obviously only for the front. Sorry didn’t read your post fully, the tears you unbolt the leaf springs, remove the shackles and carriers, fit new carrier to axle and new shackles to rear and fit the leaf spring below the axle using the carriers. Make sure you tighten all of the bolts when the weight of the van on the ground. The rear is fairly straight forward and you can’t really go wrong. Then set your height by using the holes in the shackles. The higher the hole, the lower the van.
