Dave Cooper bike rack

Post by mcljot »

Hi folks,

Saw one of these a couple of weeks ago, motorbike rack for the towbar. Would be handy but, not knowing much about it, it seems like the towbar is designed for pulling, not carrying? My enduro bike is around 125kg wet. Anyone ever use one or have any comment?

I've got one. Just wish it had a pole at the back to steady it when loading it really. And something else for it to tie down to.

Got a brand new one sitting in the garage if your interested?

Nah I'm alright thanks, bike can go in the van for now. Would just be handy for when I get my interior sorted out.

I think the newer bike racks from Dave Cooper actually have a vertical pole after taking customer feedback, not sure tho.

Cheers,
Alex

They say "Suitable for trials, motocross, enduro, grass track, speed way and small road bikes" but I don't know what kind of guarantee they offer. I had one on a van years ago but never trusted it. That was for a big road bike though. I just kept the bike in the van. I'm going to try to fit two bikes in a maxi soon. That'll be interesting.

Two track bikes? I've seen pictures of that done but I wouldn't fancy it with two road bikes that I didn't want scratched

I'll have a go. I just got the caddy so don't know much about and haven't really had a chance to get to know it. I've got an old triumph sprint ST that's been in a garage in northern Ireland for a while and there's a friend's xj6. If only one will work then so be it.

Sorry for the apparent thread hijack. What about those Dave Cooper bike racks, eh?
