gear selector strip?

gear selector strip?
can someone please tell me how I can find the gear selector on my caddy and how to go about stripping it as my gears are stiff thanks

is it tight going across the gate of forward & back into gear?

forward and backward m8 when its cold its worse, really bad getting into first and second but when its warm its a lot better

You can remove the airbox disconnect the selector cables and check they are free by operating the gear lever, I would also check the gear box oil is clean & the level is correct. while you have the cables disconnected you can operate the selector by hand to make sure its not stiff, check the up & down movement (neutral) then the rotational movement (gear selection)
do the gears select ok with the engine not running
does the clutch movement feel normal

So stripped selector down cleaned it up works smooth with engine off but when its on its notchy any ideas has plenty of gear oil ect

If all gears select ok with engine off it would suggest you have a clutch problem
