Caddywupz Van Conversion

So I've been spending the last few days getting into my van conversion. Really enjoying it so far!
Cleaned up the insides, cutting ply wood to make new door panels, removed the bulk head and cut off the side door sections and now on to insulating. So far so good!
Went to a scrap heap yesterday and got some genuine VW rail covers from a Maxi Life for £20. Bargain! Just need to paint them.
Still more insulating to do and finish off sorting the electrics and making a battery cover before the floor goes down.
Will make more updates as and when I can!

Bulk head removed showing signs of interior condition
Cutting the sides off the bulkhead for the B Pillar covers
What it looked like before the clean
Using 3-in-1 degreaser - this is what it looked like after with my stripy socks!

Tidy looking van, I'm in two minds whether to fit touran rear seats or just fully carpet the back

Just added my rail covers that I got cheap from a Scrap Yard. Think I might keep them blue. Thoughts?

Taking shape, caddywupz, looking good. I like the blue stripe, I'd like to break up my black Caddy (with grey roof) with a bit of coloured stripes or artwork.
Also - matching socks, eh? Truly you are blessed. I'm lucky if I can find ones vaguely the same colour in the morning.

Really like the Blue, i bought some plasti dip to change some of the trim and steelies which is pretty much the same colour, i thought the blue was a bit different.

Good canvas to start with are you keeping the beacon on, I do prefer mine without the bulkhead there's loads more room, only thing I'm not feeling is the blue rail cover

Thanks for the feedback guys.
As for the beacon - yes that's staying. Keep it looking like a work van/stealthy.
Side strips - I like them for now. Need to give the van a wash, have a step back and have a think. I thought it was something a little different though instead of all white.

Did a lot of insulation yesterday. Finished it off today by adding recycled plastic insulation to the roof ribs, doors and sides.
This was taken yesterday without the plastic insulation;

No, this is double foil double bubble insulation from ebay -

Along with 5 1/2 cans of trim fix adhesive!

Been fairly busy since I last updated:
Installed recycled plastic insulation in to the doors and ribs:
Made a custom floor from 9mm ply:
Not of course forgetting the tie down points and making holes for them:
Also made a custom made ceiling as the Maxi comes in 2 sections. Wanted one for the lighting setup I want to install:
Set up my LED strips in to their housings that will later be installed in to the ceiling:
Oiled my side and door panels using Danish Oil in Vintage Pine. Came out really well I think:
Even dad helped out with painting!
Installed one of the side panels with a new USB charging socket:
And finally, the design I intend to make for my flip out bed/storage area:

Good stuff. Did 1 roll do all that?

1 roll of double foil double bubble wrap? Yes. I bought a 1.2x10m roll so plenty. Still got some left over that I will do the driver and passenger door at some point. I didn't do a full covering on the walls like other may do. I did however go through almost 6 cans of adhesive!
