Joey’s Caddy

Thought I’d start a build thread as I’m starting to do bits to the caddy now. Had it standard for about 6months my plan was to not spend anything on it as it’s a work van but I’ve got bored of that so the modding has started. So far I’ve had
•Windows tinted all round
•New heater dials
•Fitted a KillAllWipers wiper delete
•Artificial grass in the back
•Upgraded Rear Lights

Next on the list is coilovers which I’ve got a budget of £400 for but trying to decide what set to go for then it’s alloys and to sort my radio out as it’s non stop going fuzzy.
Hopefully these pics work

I like that. Very similar for what I'll be going for. Work van that still looks the business. :D

Cheers it’s getting there! Coilovers & wheels will be done over Christmas so that’ll make a big difference.

Can anyone recommend a oem Vw Dab radio that’ll be a straight swap for mine?

Just picked up these bola b12s in need of a refurb but have 4 good tyres on them, they came off a caddy but I’ve just checked the backs and there 5x100 ?? I messaged the previous owner and he had them fitted straight on no adapters?

Weird. I thought the mk3 caddy was 5x112, Did he have Wobbly Bolts fitted?

Ooaft... that's a question that has opened a few cans of worms in the past.   If you ask me Wobble Bolts are fine. So long as the car and wheels they are fitted to isn't being used to the extreme. Like a track prepared, nitrous filled Audi R8 V10 or something equally rapid. For a Diesel van... perfectly fine.

Not too sure they was just listed as Vmaxx Coilovers...they are fully adjustable, what’s the difference between the xxtreame and normal?

Ok. Cool if they are fully adjustable, I have mine on 10 half way on the back and 6 clicks from the - on the fronts. I do 1000 miles a month and that’s really smooth. So far I like mine. I understand the standard Vmaxx ride really hard and are just crap. Hope you like them. Did you get your centralising plates with the kit do you know. If not your need some as it brings the back wheel slightly forward the lower you go. Good luck.
