@snuffegull
I’ve just learned that lesson.
The company that sold me the parts have offered me £5 refund if I can use them and fix them. I’ve told them I want a full refund and they can have them back as they are not fit for purpose. As you can see I’ve refurbished mine.

I’ve bought from them before and wasn’t pleased with them at all, it was a rear bumper bit for the mrs car, and all the clips were either snapped off or badly bent, again offered a small refund if it was still able to be used

Tried to get the touran door strips done this weekend ready for BHP Exeter but sadly ran out of time.

Because mine is a maxi I had to do a bit of cutting trimming and adding pieces.

Had to staple them on both sides weld them and fill them before primer and 2k high build

Once all the sanding I could finally get some black paint on

After 3 coats of black paint. I’ve now got to wait for the to dry hard and the I can sand them down and then put 3 coats of lacquer on them. But have just ran out of time today

Good work Sean! Well done mate they look excellent!

Did you use a plastic adhesion promotor before your high build/paint. What paint/clear coat did you use?

@Gmancan1
I will use m3 tape and tiger seal

@hef
I used plastic primer first then pro XL 2k high build primer
Then I use hycote black paint and then pro XL 2k clear.
Had some orange peel that I need to sought out.
Still got to find some time to put them on.
But that what happens when you have to many projects on at the same time 🤣

My bumper saga continues.
As a lot of you guys probably know I was having a mk8 Golf Gti hybrid bumper made. The guy that made it assured me that he new what he was doing the first attempt (and should of been the only attempt) was short and didn’t fit properly without stretching and forcing it into place. He took it back and said he would rectify it. This is him rectifying it.

Safe to say that I was not happy.
I’m not going to give it back to him he said he’s done lots of them and never had any problems

I feel your pain with that mate, mines never been 100% I have the same issues around where it meets the wing, admittedly not as bad as yours!
I just got mine back in time for the wrap so I couldn't really do much about it. I found cutting the foam crash bar thing helps alot.
But considering how much we pay for the bloody things it's not right!
What's the plan with yours going forward if your not getting him to "fix" it?

As for the AliExpress fogs.....I think that's what was included in my kit, I had very dodge soldered off part numbers....with an extremely thin loom and s**t plugs... The drivers side failed within a few months, which is why Iv had to split mine and make my own switchbacks.
I'd 100% recommend going genuine to save anymore headaches!
