How I haven't read your thread yet I don't know but you have one tasteful caddy! Got the DRL headlights on my wish list as driving in the dark again has reminded me how little I can see

Cheers for the kind words mate!
It’s a slow burn but I quite like it that way, I suppose I never really want to finish it.

If I’m dead honest, I wouldn’t buy those vanstyle type lights. The quality isn’t great for what you pay (mine were a freebie so I really can’t complain) but I’d have been devastated to have paid the full £450/500 for them.

It’s worth having a look at someone like EM Tuning for a decent set of lights, you’ll pay more but it’s worth it I think. It’s what I’ll do when my current ones fai/when I have the £.

Some of the LEDs in the DRL lightbar flicker when the engine is on. Also I’ve had to use a 5ohm resistor on side and a 10 ohm on the other to stop the indicators flashing fast (strangely enough, they only flash fast on the dash and not outside)
The wiring and general build quality is quite poor too. The one positive is that as they’re projector lenses, I have used LED headlight bulbs, and when set correctly are road legal. I’ve got the ones with the fans on the back and this keeps the bulb out warning from coming on, but the caps on the back do not fit on with these as they’re longer.

Apart from that, they’re fine!!

quite a list then! Iv tried to get in contact with em tuning a few times and never got a response, Listers look lovely quality lights though.
I'm going to wait until next year and save up for some VW xenon's.

Haha, yeah I have to stress though that mine were free and the bloke gave them to me did so very generously and I do appreciate it.
I’ve spoken to them before and they seem decent. It’s annoying if you hear nothing back though.
I think they’ll cost you a pretty penny, but definitely worth it for that van of yours as it’s stunning!

Not a bad freebee then! Apparently they are pretty much the same price give or take as the em tuning custom ones so at that price I understand how it would be a disappointment if they didn't work right!
And thanks mate, they will finish off the front end nicely, but yeah even the price of a used set of mk4 xenon's are quite eye watering

Yeah, if you’re gonna spend the cash, it’s worth doing once and right.

I haven’t updated this for a while as I’ve not done anything to the van lately.

However, when pressure washing it the other day I’ve taken some paint off the front bumper…..It’s going into the paint shop on March 12, then once done I’m going to get some PPF applied to protect it from future stone chips, which was the start of the problem.

I’ve just fitted some grab straps to the inside of the barn doors. I think they look good and serve a purpose when we’re sleeping in the back. Image

There’s a few more mods planned for this year.
Mk4 indicators (I just need to take some man up pills to cut the wing)

Still got my Touran carpets to fit also. I’ve also got some little push out coat hooks to go in the back, I’ll have to remove the ply on the side to fit these I think.

I’ve got some mods planned for the engine bay too….I’m going to attempt to colour code my engine cover, the bolt on panel that covers the wiper mechanism and the headlight support brackets. I also want to fit some bonnet insulation too.
I’ve also ordered a knock off Audi R8 oil cap and header tank cap. These should arrive next week.

Wheels also need a refurb and there’s a dent in the sliding door that’s been there since I bought it. It has to go!!

Watch this space. Don’t hold your breath!

Yeah I was gutted mate but I knew it would go eventually.
Yes they are. When we sit in the van I put a small tarp over the open doors if it’s raining. The magnets do a good job of holding it in place.

I’ve just found an aftermarket bonnet insulation for £37 from a place in Lithuania and bought the clips for £3.60.

Well happy!
