On the A10 southbound by Hertford the other day….. white, bog standard looking mk3 caddy, with blues hidden in the grill and lights, and siren..!
Went past quickly, with no markings on at all

Very possible mate. They use all types of vehicles.

Can't see police having a MK3 surely? Have seen a MK4 fully decaled up, think it was more of a forensic unit though

Here's an unmarked FIAT van, that pulled me just as I shot past him, coming out of an ASZ (Average Speed Zone - 9K), and only for I had the DashCam and was able to prove he was speeding, he walked away. :P

I stand corrected a 61 plate unmarked MK3 just flew past me on A45 in Northampton with flashing blue lights hidden in grill and lights

Two years ago, in Gothenburg, Sweden, I was driving on an sort of busy 80km/h city road. Along comes a VW Caddy with what looked like two handyman’s in the front seats. He switched lanes just in front of me, just a few cm from my car. As you can imagine I got pretty annoyed. Started sort of racing/chasing after the Caddy. I think I was driving around 140km/h when I finally got past him. Looking into the car with an annoyed look on my face.

That’s when he pulled up the up the ultimate joker and put it in the side window: his police ID. My heart dropped so fast! He signed to me to slow down, and just drove straight of.

As my heartbeat started to slow down several minutes later, I began to wonder why they were driving such a sleeper. The only two conclusions I could come up with was either they were technicians or they were out doing some type of recognisance. Maybe the same in UK?
