Re: What engine cover do i need? 2016 2l tdi 150bhp
I'm also confused by this. The information I've gleaned from this forum is the following:
For a Caddy Mk4
Cover for VW caddy 2.0 TDI euro6 engine 04L103925Q
Ball heads x 2 = 04L103164
Oil seal ring x 1 = 04L133287
My confusion is whether the 04L103925Q is what should be marked on the foam, as this number can also be found on the plastic cover, but the foam may be marked differently. I bought one from ebay, very recently, where the photo showed that number on both the foam and the cover, but when it was sent the foam was marked 04L103925T. I returned it and got a refund as it was not as the photo, and I wasn't sure if it would fit. The plastic cover seems to be standard for the 1.6 and 2l TDIs, but is the foam different depending on the different engines, and hence the foam needs the correct code? So do I need to make sure that it comes off a vehicle that has an engine that matches my vehicle, ie 2.0l 102hp 75KW (2019 Caddy Life)
I notice this number ending in T seems quite common on MK 7 golfs. The one I was sent came off a Skoda (and the badge wasn't detachable, didn't have a VW underneath, btw!)

The above part number is correct. I have a Mk4 Caddy with engine cover on.
Some engine covers can have different letter at the end. My Cover is 04L 103 925 K (as printed on the plastic engine cover not the foam.)
The Foam is 04L 103 9540

Thanks for your reply.
(Oops just realised that I'd written the wrong number for the foam that was on the one I returned. It was 04L103954T).
