Can this BCM be coded for MFSW and heated seats?

Post by PeakyPaul »

Hi all,

I'm retrofitting a MFSW and Heated Seats in my 2015 MK4 Caddy.

I'm not sure if I need to change my BCM or not.

I purchased an OBDeleven as I hoped I could use this to do the coding.

But it's kinda all the gear and no idea for me at the moment!

Below pic is from the OBDeleven showing the currently fitted BCM.

There are various how to guides and information on retrofits on the Ross tech site which will definitely be worth a look, unfortunately the pic you posted isn’t clear enough to read part numbers.

@sausage thanks for your reply.

Yes the image upload via Tapatalk is pants, did post another hosted pic not sure if that shows up on the thread.

The Part number is 5K0 937 085 AD

I've had a look around the Ross Tech forums and found a very good chart for the steering electrics but couldn't find something similar for BCM's

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated 👍

My mistake I thought they did one for BCMs to.
My knowledge on retro fits isn’t great to be honest, after a quick search it would appear it’s a bit of a rabbit hole.

From my very brief search it would appear that the easiest thing would be to use VCDS to see if it can be coded in, and even then this is not a 100% guarantee as other control units may need to be upgraded for everything to work 100%

Yes, I'm waiting on a new steering control unit (J527) to arrive as my current one isn't compatible with MFSW.

Once this arrives I'll fit it and give it a go at coding!

Cheers
