Put a new engine cover on my 2020 Mk4 Caddy Life. It's a 2l 102.
I bought the cover, oil seal & 2 balljoints from the local Seat dealers. Total cost £152:86 :?
It had a Seat badge covering the VW logo. It was stuck on with self adhesive tape so it easily came off to reveal the VW logo. The engine looks a lot better and is noticeably quieter up to 30mph. I haven't driven it any faster since putting it on.
The oil seal isn't what I'd call a seal. It fits around the rim where the oil filler cap is, to prevent spills onto the engine.
Part nos in the Seat records:
Cover: 04L 103925S
Oil seal: 04L 133287
Balljoint 03L 103164 (need 2 of these. The other balljoints were already fitted on my engine.

The parts were a perfect fit - no need for brackets etc.

Hi Mate,

The front is a hybrid MK7 GTI/caddy bumper. Basically there the top half of a caddy bumper and bottom half is MK7 GTI. There are various people
Who make them but they don’t come cheap.
The rear is a R32 bumper and there on eBay mate.

No mate. One of these. You need to bond the inner brackets from your original bumper into this one.

It is the correct tool, but did you take out the securing tab? It’s kinda purple color and slides out to the side of the connector

Yes, have removed the purple secure tab but it feels like the wires will not come loose

Push the tool in further. It feels like it won’t go but it does. That will then release the raised lugs and you should be able to pull the wire out.

Added some windscreen stickers today courtesy of @doc. I think they look pretty good. Not to loud and in your face. I had to cut off the forum logo though and reposition it otherwise it wouldn’t of sat down the edge as close as planned.

@enwo. I don’t mean to insult you mate, but are you pushing the tool in from the right end of the connector? The very first time I tried depinning a wire, I was pushing it in from the end where the wires go. Not the flat end that goes into the other plug. I was obviously getting nowhere! I’m a complete novice though.

Was pushing it in from the right side yes.. Figured it out now and it was my tool from ebay that was a disaster.. Instead of pushing in the clips on the connector the tool was so weak that the tool got pushed out instead
