Olliekins wrote:Cheers Walnut 417! I just installed a new blower resister pack to rectify blower only working on setting #4. Pretty easy, but still a major mechanical step up for me. Next repair is to try and fix rear window washer (doesn’t work and water under back door so I guess that the water tube is off or leaking). I don’t like the idea of taking off door cards/trims but it has to get done. I also want to sand and repaint the drivers side door armrest that houses the electric window controllers-same problem-remove door card!
The door cards aren't that bad to take off, picking the right point to lever is the key

Tried PM but I don't have access yet. How much are you asking for the rear seats?

Hey guys. The drivers seat on my 2006 Caddy Life Camper 1.9l TDI has sprung through the fabric! Costs to fix the frame padding and replace the fabric are exorbitant. Any clues to the costs of getting a second hand seat? For that matter, any clue as to what seats from what model VW’s are compatible? I know that I’ll never be able to replace the original striped fabric.
Also, I buggered up the fabric on both armrests (with a steam cleaner that melted the glue). Anyone ever replaced the armrest fabric? Is it difficult?

@Olliekins

I've fitted golf seats to mine, but you need to drill new holes in your caddy seat rails to fit them, and also grind off the locating tab on the golf seat bases. Otherwise I'm pretty sure Polo seats fit straight in. I might also be tempted to sell the seats out of my Life Camper if you wanted the original striped pattern.

Thanks Mischaseb! I’ll explore those options and get back to you. Any idea on what it would cost to relieve you of one of your Camper seats? What colour pattern is the fabric?
