It has been done but i think u need to change injectors and fit bigger brakes to stop ur ass from hitting poor sheep thay may walk on front of ur thundering beast. And I think with power you get smoke

Its on there but not a 100% direct replacement/fit. The exhaust flange on the downpipe are different, so ive machined up a flange and made my own downpipe and removed the cat.

Also the egr valve pipe to the manifold mounting position is slightly different, so ive blanked it off and hopefully on monday when i get it remapped again, i should be able to delete the egr from the ecu cus at the mo it goes into limp mode frequently.

no, havent changed anything else yet, was thinking of ripping the guts out of the egr valve as its not going to be needed but undecided at the mo, surely it will be less restriction into the inlet manifold.

Does anyone know if this is a good idea or not?

removing egr is good! you will get an engine management light on so when you get it remaped ask them to remove the egr from the map

you can remove the guts but I would blank it off and use a egr removal kit or just blank it off,
egr's get good money on ebay so remove it and sell it!!!

If you want to do just the blanking plates and remove the pipe between the manifold and egr (this is what I did)
order two of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EGR-blanking-plat ... 0636514744" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;?

or for the full hog
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EGR-Replacement-R ... 0722363532" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(cheaper than I remember!)
or the orignal
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=alla ... 86.c0.m359" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
