Cheapest and best mods, you've done.

Post by Studley11 »

I'm just looking for some inspiration and, I'm wondering what the best and cheapest modifications you've done to your vans, pictures would be much appreciated, I haven't managed to do anything to my van yet as I've hurt my back, so using my time to gather various parts for when I'm mobile. Cheers.

Search ebay for wolfberg steering wheel badge, it might not sit flush, I had to use a dremel and sand off some of the centre plastic when I took off the old badge. Be careful when removing the old one, its fixed in with 3 fixings, youll need to use a small flat head screw driver and prey it off.

The carbon sticker was off ebay as well - mk 5 golf badge sticker, remember to clean off the crap on the plastic with alcohol or it won't stick.

Im going to get a leather steering wheel cover, the ones off ebay (£15) to finish it off (sow in one, takes about an hour but should look good) Cheaper than getting a new steering wheel - total cost £23.

I had the Golf lamp first, then I got this Skoda Superb interior lamp... The fitting requires a bit of modification and extra wiring for the downlighting, but so worth it!!
