hey bud component protection cannot yet be turned off in the clusters, in fact i think the only way to get a cluster upgrade for the gen 4 caddy is to buy a new one (unfortunately i am in the same boat)

for further reference the only way to reset cp (which will switch back on again in 8 hours if the part doesnt come from the vehicle chassis or isnt registered with the vw fazit server) is to use ODIS (authentic dealer software) or an indy with pass thru and GeKo access

If you are buying new from VW, you might as well have Colour 3D, they are all the same price.

I'd have thought one of the last 1T Touran clusters would work but maybe not. The 5T Touran is MQB platform so that is ruled out immediately, just as the mk7.
The old Tiguan maybe an option but I'm not sure is ODIS will kick it out due to mismatching part numbers and comparability with handbrake etc.

I'm thinking the rocco r line may be an option, will give my local tps a buzz and see if they can help out, don't mind trying a few things out with odis
