Sliding door interior panels

Post by Graeme » Wed Sep 05, 2018 8:45 pm

Ive seen platic door cards with pockets for the rear sliding doors. Were these only fitted to kombi and life models? Are they different for maxi and swb?
Im not sure what shade of grey my interior is, but does anyone know the part numbers and if they are still available. Will ones from any van fit my 2007 swb?
Thanks.

I've also just found out these window trims exist...

If i could find some, will they fit swb caddy?

I've been looking for these as well and wondered if they would fit my swb. I think they look a lot better than a ply panel.

What's the difference in the doors? The internal shape looks the same to me. Obviously the outer door skin/frame is different on a maxi bit is the overall length of the doors the same?

I assume most/all factory rear seat caddys will have had these door panels, maybe not the window trims though.

I was just coming back here to post the exact same link!
Ill talk to my vw mechanic mate at the weekend as i dont know what colours id need and ill get him to see how much they will be to order in.
Ive only seen two colours, sort or beige and grey.
Found the B pillar trim i need in their diagrams too, and the interior light wiring connectors.

I have about 1k in bits to spend on making the van work properly first before i worry about finishing off the interior trim, but good to be prepared.

Different part numbers for extended wheelbase so there mist be differences between swb and maxi ones.

Sliding door interior panels

I've just bought a used one off ebay in that pearl grey (the lighter grey)
My trim is the later anthracite grey so my plan is to paint it with some U-Pol Plast X dark grey paint that I've got for the A/B pillars and overhead storage shelf
Hopefully it fits otherwise I'll be making it fit Image
The parts soon start to stack up!

I think they're life only, my kombi doesn't have them.

Do you know the part number of the one you bought? If so, have you checked it?
Ive no idea if my car is lighter grey or darker grey. Its hard to tell from pics. Maybe ill take a piece off and check the numbers, see if i can work it out.

When it turns up, let me know what happens.

I found auction listing.
2k0 part number so SWB, should fit just fine.
Still cant see any difference between swb and maxi versions though.

Cheers Graeme, It's just been posted so I'll let you know how it fits.
TPS might be a good place to enquire about the parts/prices.
I've not come across the window frame trim yet, I might add some lining in the area where the window would be.
are you planning on adding a window cut out to your door?

I have twin siders, both with aftermarket fixed windows. It has a rear seat and all the proper rear trim but it has ply panels on the doors. I was going to carpet them, and the areas above the doors, but would just complete it better with proper panels.
Ill check some local breakers before i order new bits.
