messed up weekend

Post by hedge »

The two things I had planned this weekend both failled
The rear gti brakes are such a nightmare to fit its not worth fitting them until I had new pads/discs (i.e the effort to fit them twice isn't worth it!)

the new front bumper was pack in this
bubble wrap
bubble wrap

basically a thing layer of bubble wrap
so the bumper ended up like this
corner

and this
front

fooked basically
why can't mupperts pack stuff properly
it would have been a straight on job. (and then a spray over later on)

so no caddy stuff this weekend

tell me about it! it would of been fine if he had put it in a box, its not that hard.

I doubt the post place will pay out compensation due to the lack of protective packaging

I've given him until tueday to come up with an answer then I'll start a Paypal dispute.

I had a Golf bumper up fo sale and refused to post for this very reason.

You can't imagine how hard it is to find a box of the right size.

I auctioned mine collection only but the guy who bought it insisted on courier. Basically, I left it in his hands, I took photos to prove it was un marked then wrapped it in bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard then all I had to do was leave it down the side of my house on a certain day.

UPS picked it up and luckily it arrived unmarked but I had piece of mind as I left the delivery up to the buyer.

It would drive me up the walls if it happened to me. Some little f**ker was to lazy to do a good job on it and you have to pay the price

I send bumpers by mail order regularly and it's a simple thing to get a box, just go to your local bodyshop., they'll have loads of them kicking around and will normally be glad for someone to take it away.

I have to say that I think that bumper may have left the seller like that, it's a lot of damage even for the royal mail to do.
