When you say wiring was a pain do you have anymore information on that side of things. I've got to the stage that the engine is but just turns over dosnt start.

Van is an 07 engine came from a late 04 mk5 golf. Used engine loom from golf and had immobiliser turned off.

I'm clearly missing something obvious but I'm new to all this so not sure what it is.

Any help would be massively appreciated

Does anyone have pictures of the wiring need for this swap!? My engines in all plumbed up but I can’t find anything on the wiring harness modifications that need to be done! Any help would be much appreciated!

Have a look on https://erwin.vw.com/erwin/showHome.do

You’ll need to create an account and it’s about €9 for an hour, however you’ll be able to download and print all the relevant diagrams for you engine swap.

Your best bet is to use the link I posted above and download the wiring diagrams for your Touran with the BKD engine and find the valve your looking for and take it from there.
Easy enough to find as you’ve got the donor car and VIN.

VW are known to change the wiring (connections and colour) ever so slightly through the years

That way you’ll have a complete set of diagrams (easy to modify to add n any tweaks you’ve made) to help with any fault finding in the future as well.

Hi Kas, I’ve just started this conversion today, both engines are out and we have seen this 6 pin solenoid plug. Can this be cut out the mk5 golf donar loom and spliced into the caddy loom?
