I'm going to be doing this soon. Other than ebay is there any other good place to buy a set from? I'm keeping my eyes out for some

They're not that expensive buying from a VW parts dept or TPS if you have a branch that will deal with the public (technically they're trade account only). Should be about £60 each (might be nearer to £70 with VAT).

Re: 2016 rear lights upgrade 07 caddy
There are a few other online sellers such as travelin lite who supply to public.
They will need coding if you want to enable the bottom bar and disable the bulb failure warning light.
On 2010 and older Van's you can do it with vcds. Newer van's need the bcm eeprom editing which is a little more involved.
There are also other places like ourselves who supply, fit and code so there are several options.

Hi Doc,
I don’t know if you remember me but I was the Hermes kid with the ex bg caddy maxi. I’ve finally got myself some 2015+ rear lights and I need some help. I know you mentioned it’s something you do and I was wondering how much it’ll cost?
I’m sorry if I’ve put this in the wrong place, it’s my first post here.

Re: 2016 rear lights upgrade 07 caddy
This is my caddy. I really want to upgrade to the 2015+ rear tail lights. I'm led to believe, the barn door model with my tail gate model is a straight swap fitment wise? I also have seen that some coding is required and some wires changed over. once I have adequate posts I may be able to see that. Is that all that is required to swap them over? Is voltage an issue with the LEDs? Thanks for reading.

Repinning and coding is all you need.
The Caddy4 tail lights are not LED so there's no need to worry about that.

Re: 2016 rear lights upgrade 07 caddy
So I put my new lights in which I got from the wreckers and I got them to cut the old harness off so I could just follow the colours. Is the coding just to remove the extra reverse bulb? Can I put a resistor in there to solve that issues so I don't have to code it?
