Pretty sure the sharing of Brake and Rear-Fog is not allowed under UK regs ?
States Brake and Fog must be at least 100mm apart !
Regs
- Rear fog lamps may be combined with the rear position lamps.
- Fog lights must be at least 100mm from any brake light.
The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989

2. Position
(d) Minimum separation distance between a rear fog lamp and a stop lamp–
– (ii) In the case of a rear fog lamp which shares a common lamp body with a stop lamp:

I don't live in the UK, we don't have a legal requirement to even have a fog light in South Africa. I made disclaimer "works for me". Anyone doing this in the UK can make their own decisions, as to whether they want to switch around a tail light once a year for MOT.

Nice little thread, hoping on doing the conversion to my '06 Caddy this week! Just gonna need to sort out the coding somehow as it's not my cup of tea and i don't have access to any software at the moment
