If I got my 1.6TDI 75BHP remapped, what could I expect? as in to what BHP is achievable but keeping good fuel consumption. Thanks

Had my previous 1.6 103 mapped to about 140. Fuel consumption is the same, unless you're really using all that new power all the time. IMHO high speeds kill fuel consumption.

My 104 bhp has been increased to 139 brake, fuel economy seems quite similar. But I have to say, it's easy to get the foot down when req'd, then I'd imagine the mpg will drop. Only got it done around November time, so no point comparing mpg over winter. Will find out now that I'm racking up the miles going away with the mountain bike.

You ever map your 75bhp? Looking to do the same wondering what you got out of the map? And any hardware upgrades needed and cost?

I have remap my 75bhp to 148bhp.

it is only a remap. You don't have to do anything about the car. The cost is hard to say, here in the Netherlands the prices range from 250 euros to 700 euros.

Had my 102 remapped to 150 about a year ago. Engine come alive. More responsive more everything. Better economy. No need for any other parts although I have a forced air intake but that was a choice rather than a necessity.

I had a remap done on my 1.6 Caddy, definitely recommend it, I also had EGR and DPF Delete, then it really comes to life. After having the remap I was also using less fuel and got a faster van!

What are the pro's and con's with egr and dpf delete?
I've had mine rolled back, then mapped, but was wondering about this ' come alive'...!

Always seemed unresponsive & powerless before the remap. Now she's free revving & eager.  :D

I had my 1.6 remapped in october to 148, now that the joy factor of just how much more fun it was to drive has worn off (was fun to pull away quick from two lane lights and leave the boy racers round here wondering how they had just been done by a van ) I have a much better fuel economy getting about 450 500miles a full tank round town and 3/4 40-50 mile trips a month. So would deffo do it!

£250 for mine and was done at home in about 2/3 hours I think :-)

Threads been very helpful, defo going to get my 1.6 tdi 102bhp re mapped now after the discussions on here. Seems like a big improvement in power and not much difference in the fuel consumption.

I had my 1.6 tdi (102bhp) mapped today by Matt at Dub Unit after seeing reviews on here. The van is very responsive & just pulls & pulls after the remap. Matt was happy to answer any questions I had about the van & I cant recommend him highly enough.

I recently remapped my 1.6tdi(75bhp) to around 148/150bhp, and there is absolutely no comparison. It is like a new van completely, I'm getting around 5-6mpg extra in fuel. It cost me around €250 for the remap, carbon clean, and a re gen of power. I would recommend to anyone.
