Best insulation for van walls, ceiling and floor

What's everyone's recommendation for the best insulation to use on van walls, ceiling and floor? I'm converting my Maxi to a camper and would like to know what insulation people have had success with, what's cheap, what works and what really doesn't work. Thanks a lot

I used all sound dodo stuff on mine, dead mat, thermoroll and recycled plastic insulation. Not dirt cheap but awesome performance. Got it all from sound deadening shop on Ebay and would definitely recommend.

With the Dodo dead mat, did you cover 50% of the panel like it recommends on the web page or cover the whole panel? Just wondering how much of the stuff to order ta!

I went to town on it man, it's my daily runner so wanted it as quiet as poss. I think even 50% will make a big difference though.

I think I will some Polyiso panels for ceiling and floor and sheep wool for the sides.

Any thoughts on how best to insulate a maxi life? Has anyone lifted the trim to do it?

I used flashing tape for sound deadening. I laid strips of it, particularly over the larger and thinner metal panels. I completely covered the wheel arches. This worked great and means you don't spend silly money covering every square inch. In combination with loft insulation foam, foil backed bubble wrap and carpet it makes a massive difference. Kiravans is a good place to get some of your materials.

I think it is important to cover every square inch when it comes to insulation however. I cut "sausages" of loft foam, tied string to the ends and fed them through the holes to fill all of the double skinned parts of the van. Very fiddly but well worth it. I think this helps again with deadening.
