Thoughts - Identify

Post by Philfab »

My 2009 1.9TDI's suspension is pretty tired, found this on that common auction site. Any thoughts or maybe an ID on it?

It looks a bit cheap to me. There’s no information on how much it will lower the van and you’d still need the shackle kit for the rear, this alone retails for £120-200 depending where you get it from.
As for the brand, who knows? There’s no reviews on ride quality or anything.
If you’re looking at this kind of price range, a few lads on here have the stance + kit fitted. I’d be looking at that, maybe JOM or AP if you want to spend a little more.
My thoughts only mate.

One more thing I forgot about mate. There is a 50mm and 55mm strut size on the caddy, you need to know which yours has and order the correct size. There’s no option for that with this kit. I’d swerve it myself.

Thanks for that, i agree now looking at it more. I'll have a read of the stance kit reviews and have a think.

Hello again mate. I’ve not heard of anyone using this kit, but it’s the first I’ve seen with those weld on rear springs and the rear shackles look different from any lowering kit I’ve seen for the caddy.

I did find someone on here with that kit, seems ok but i'm not sure on the coilovers. Pretty sure they are TA Technix.
The weld on kit can be bought separately just need better shocks
