To those who have the flush fitting cross bars that sit directly between your roof rails do any of you carry anything on rhem or are they strictly for show as they seem pretty wide and too wide for ladder clamps etc

Re: Roof rail cross bars ?
Have had them on my t5 facelift, aren’t good for much weight. That’s why I have an rvs imperial for the caddy. That doesn’t hang almost on the roof with just a 3-piece ladder on it.

I had some on my previous Caddy, I think they stated a 50kg load, handy for the odd pipe, small ladders, timber etc.

Roof rail cross bars ?
Rvs is stronger offcourse, nothing hanging almost on the roof and can carry easily 6m long pipes, with the roofbars I needed 4 of them and it was still risky.
