so were do i go from here,i take it ill need some plastic welder at least to get to the next stage...

i found this in bunnings ,will this be idea to get it welded....

I used a heatgun 660 degrees celcius and special plastic welding end.

i really appriaiate your help mate,did you overlap the bumpers much and what did you use to smooth out the joins...

No overlap at all. You need to keep just some space between both bumpers while the hot staples go in or afterwards cut it a bit open. Melted plastic via the welder tool in the middle of it. I welded it and spreaded it out with the welder head which doesn’t look so nice but it’s strong. In the end filler on top. Used by the way cutted material from the bumpers to weld them together. So it’s 100% pp-epdm <10>

And I have no patience lol so went for “speed welding” 3:24 in the video. You get a thicker effect like you can see at the back close up of my front bumper. There I left it as we will not see it later on. At the front side I spreaded it out.
