100% they've disguised it to look like the Dacia and thats why they've chosen such an awful colour too.

Is this a rear strut? Or wishful thinking and a blob of snow?!

You could be right about the strut there Dan. I agree, dysentery brown does it no favours!
Come to think of it, that black side strip looks like it’s tape, as does the black trim on the back doors.....maybe rear lights too?

The rear window looks disguised too, you can see where the metal work has been pressed.

I had already written off the rear from the first yellow render, as imo long vertical lights just don't work, on any vehicle.

Looks like the side doesn't have any of the nice features in the silver render either.

I still hold out a bit of hope for the front but will of course reserve judgement until its been fully revealed.

I've stripped away a bit of the camo and they've spent some time hiding that new swage line that makes the arches look more distinct so I've also tried to add that back in.

I gotta say yeah it looks a bit so so but vw’s design boys are well on point for getting things right

They’re superb at getting designs current for their life span long before they get released. Initially at ‘leaked’ stage they always look naff, then after release they always kinda come into their own and end up looking superb

The 6.1 is another good example. Looks so so now. Given it a year and the scene will be all over it

Can’t warm to the yellow one at all in the first post - a few of the member renderings since are much nicer!

It's horrible!!!!!, Iv kind of been regretting getting my MK4 since iv seen some of the renderings and sketches, but this makes me feel better haha, it might be so much more up to date than our MK3 and MK4s but naaa I'm not feeling the look of the Mk5 , still slightly disguised or not, I don't see it getting much better at all! Kind of a disappointment tbh!

Honestly I think it's a facelift for Dacia, on German plates to fool everyone. If VW really would shape the caddy like that they will loose a lot of clients!

No, its 100% the new Caddy, they've just tried to make it look like a Dacia.

I found this shot of the interior. Not very clear but interesting to see some of the details

Image

You can see the new swage line and how it makes the arches look more bulbous in this shot

Image

The roof ridges are much more chunky on this version too and look how far out the door runners sit! No rail cover will ever hide them! I still think this is a disguise and the production vehicles will have a slot much like the T6.1 in the new swage line

Very slight tweak to the swage line having now studied a few more photos.

Saw this on some of the latest photos, that to me looks more like leaf springs.
