That looks like dan@biali’s van. It is a thing of beauty.....Sounds like amplified thunder and goes like the Starship Enterprise on warp speed. It’s the ultimate modified van IMO.

Photo not loading for me, but if it’s the same one you posted on Instagram then I like it. It’s just a shame the mods required to make it look good would require full panel mods/replacement.

The sides not being smooth is something I don’t mind.....maybe it’s because I’ve got a maxi and I’m used to it.
Nice virtual modding again Dan. It’s good to see this as it’ll give the first buyers ideas about what looks good and what they want to do.

That's why it's odd and off.
You keep saying that lol.

Out of curiosity, what rear suspension setup is on the current ford connect?
This may solve the mystery..

Similar to the new setup but don’t think it has the Panhard rod, it’s what’s called a twist beam. I posted a photo on here somewhere of the connect rear beam.

Surely the fact it needs heavily photoshopped to look anyway near decent reinforces the points made here!
I feel ,sadly, it has lost it's Caddy DNA, the thing that set it above other vans on the road, the premium van in the sector.
Yes the tech upgrade was badly needed, but the styling???
Now it has lost its one piece side panel, recessed rail etc etc, no doubt in the penny pinching pursuit that vw have been going down this last few years, it looks not much different to a any other van, Berlingo, and ( ford involvement or not) Connect etc
I think I spy a yellow rear door check strap release button, that screams ford to me

I wouldn’t be surprised if we will see later on that it’s a shared chassis... Ford, Fiat, Opel/Vauxhall, Renault, Dacia, Mercedes...

Seat or Skoda maybe, but that would be nice with more modding options.

Indeed, VW have been penny pinching for a few years now.

Anyway, Ford & VW are getting together with C.V.'s.
