New caddy ???

Post by skinnyd »

It looks like it will be a major revamp. Something that was a long time coming for the caddy.
You can facelift up to a certain point but it was a due for a complete new design.

VW definitely made a lot of money reusing the original design tools and dies.

The rear bumper and lights makes it look like a connect and to a lesser extent a Renault Kangoo

From the front it's fine but from the side and rear it awful.

Makes me feel ill.

The same feeling i had the other day driving along saw this woman walking her dog from behind... WOW. drove past and from the front it was like a car crash. The new caddy for me it's the same scenario.

Just heard that new orders for the current gen Caddy will be ceasing from the end of March 20.

Also, just picked up a 69 plate loan caddy 150 while my 150 is in for warranty work (again), and they have changed the mapping, plus, the front and rear now get interior LED lighting, and in the cab, it is waaaay too bright!!!!!!!!!!

VW like to play safe. They will probably make minor changes visually but I would expect more tech. Base models will more than likely have better spec if the car ranges are anything to go by.

Rear suspension (twist beam/shocks or leaf), engine choices (not just at launch), paint colours, headlight options, led tail lights?

Sounds like production slated for march this year and UK deliveries starting in September. Perhaps see if you can confirm that.

Thought of something else, are we in the UK going to get the same lids for all the storage as the rest of Europe? Always seem to get stitched up in this matter - no glovebox lid in mk3, no dash top lid in mk4.
