Hi everyone,

I'm Dan from the South west. looking to buy a caddy but not sure which model/engine to get.

Was thinking of buying a mk and upgrading the front wings and lights to mk4.

Any suggestions and advice will be very muchly appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Dan, I’ve not heard of anyone on here doing a 3 to 4 facelift before so I can’t say for sure what’s involved. You will definitely need a new bumper if you’re going to convert. Also be aware that the new headlights may need pins swapping over to work, maybe even new plugs and coding.
Do plenty of homework first on this one mate

Its possible to convert to MK4, Winst has done it. You will need bumper, lights, wings, bonnet, doors, and the quarter lights to do it correctly (they're different shape at the front edge) and the lights will need to be coded in and some pins swapping. Pretty sure you then will need to swap pins about to get the central locking to work correctly and I know he had to mess about to get his Touran door cards to work, otherwise you'll need MK4 door cards and not sure they will line up with the MK3 dash..............
