That is very poor, I was just coming round to liking them. Be interesting to see the price difference.

I actually read that VW and Ford were collaborating on their next generation commercial vehicles a while back and admittedly, was surprised to hear it wasn’t this generation of Caddy. Then thought it must be or they wouldn’t make the announcement so early.
Unfortunately, it’s getting more and more common these days for manufacturers to share models and cut costs. Obviously, this will probably never happen with say a 3 series and an A4 as these models are considered too important. I think manufacturers give less consideration to commercials as they’re ‘only for work purposes’ ………they obviously don’t understand the love we have for our vans!

On a positive note, the bottom half of the bumper on the Ford variant looks much better. I can see one of the plastic welding geniuses on here merging the two at some point, we may also have more choice of things like alloy wheels if someone wants a relatively standard size like 17”.

On a less positive note, if we get any connect owners in disguise on here. We need to root them out and lynch them! I nominate Doc to administer the first one

Looks like Connect will have a better looking dash with some physical buttons. Gloss black steering wheel trim looks a lot better and a gloss black trim around the touch screen and clocks. These might be popular upgrades for Caddy. Also black sliding door rail is less sore to the eyes :D

As the new Caddy is designated "typ SB" we shouldn't be welcoming them on Caddy 2K

So the Ford looks better inside AND out, and likely cheaper to boot.
A sad state of affairs

Seen that last night, I really like it.
Spotted that a few people who were quite vocal about their distaste for the Caddy5 have now changed their tune in light of the above.

Yesterday.
Stopped at traffic lights, T junction, idly watching traffic go across the bow. Thought, hmmm, is that a Citroen (side view) ? Ah, no, it's got CADDY written on the back.

The plush Caddy looks great. As different bits become available, the potential for a great looking van increases. Bring it on I say!

I’ve seen a few of these now, theres a fella that works at the tyre place i go to has a nardo grey one he was kind enough to show me when i had the caddy in for an alignment, have to say after seeing it in person with what i remember to be a full maxton splitter kit and a nice set of alloys and lowered it does look rather nice when well spec’d and modified

Still can’t get past the fact that when i see the back from a distance i just think ‘berlingo’ though especially in silver!

Will be interesting to see how well they age and if it will grow on folk, im guilty of it when i first saw it i thought it looked gash but after seeing the tyre shop fellas up close i was rather impressed! Feels nice inside too!
(Interior opinion may be biased as i have a 14 plate startline with literally ZERO options not even AC or elec windows so any spec at all puts stars in my eyes because mines is so poverty spec)
