Tbf, they've done well to make the front end look even worse.

some more images of a company modding the mk5 to look a bit better. It's probably still not for me. But does look better than factory look.

Considering I was dead against it when I first saw it, I wouldn't mind owning either the blue or grey ones pictured. I think they'll only get better as time goes on and more parts become available. The grill being black makes a big difference for me.

The front end with the black lower grille looks well, it's a shame the rest has been designed the way it has :(

Edit: off the topic of just Van's I think most cars have been made worse by there newest models tbh. Theres a lot of odd designing going on

The only thing I did like was the interior, but in basic spec, it looks awful too. An etch-a-sketch for a radio

Dav02 where do I sign… . I think im now converted; and I originally thought they were awful. I’d definitely consider one in the future, can’t wait to see someone do a full build on one.

Another great colour for this van, these are certainly starting to look very good indeed with the subtle changes.
Headlight / front end kind of reminds me of the new range rover front end.
Still cam not get my head around the price for these though. But 99% will no doubt be bought on pcp/hp.

Was over at VWCV in Preston this morning and got chatting to sales, the new caddy California is due soon, as is the caddy kombi and caddy maxi kombi as we know them.
Really liking the look of the modified mk5s with the lower bumper in gloss black.
It’s amazing at how much negativity the mk 5s created when first released but it seems people are now changing their views when they see what can be achieved.

Have to agree with those who don’t like the styling, I think the previous ones look better. I have a friend who loved the original Smart cars she had about four one after another then they restyled it ugly and she hasn’t been tempted since. Sometimes if the can’t actually improve something they feel the need to change it anyway to diff a new model doesn’t always end well.
