I drove a caddy 5 today and it drives like a caddy 2K, the shelf over the cabin is gone as is the hardboard on the roof in the back and i found the heating etc on the touchscreen a pain. Built by accountants not engineers, im glad i bought my 2021 150 dsg highline caddy 4 my sixth one they were great vans.

Saw my first 5 in the flesh yesterday. It was parked next to a 4 which really highlighted how its lost its cheeky caddy character. The VW parts guy absolutely hated it as well! I said about the fact its got the touch sensitive controls that will just get greasy fingerprints all over them and he replied, "They've (referring to VW) come out with special wipes you can buy for that." We both agreed in a work van they don't make sense but as we know its more about building these to a cost.

Looked slightly taller to me so a quick check of the stats and it is 2cm taller.

Saw one on eBay. This was a maxi life 7 seater. Don’t thinks it’s for me.

Just watched the video, looks great from the inside, lots of tech (I personally don’t consider that essential, but hey, it’s progress)
Rear end looks good, load space is spot on but the front bumper is going to need some customisation I think. The side profile is what lets it down badly as it’s not going to be easy (probably impossible) to change it.

Ever since the announcement of Caddy 5, I didn't like it! Already saw several, personally for me, it looks partly like Ford! That was the reason to buy Caddy 4 from the few left on stock. And since I didn't have much choice, I am planning to add some features, which are missing and to do some retrofits.

No no no, looks like a transit connect . Delete it. Why go so square . Can't see these being big in the vw scene like the old ones

What we saying about this then?
Personally I think the extra length of the maxi will suit it better.Image
