Notched bonnet from a mod point of view isn't the end of the world considering the MK4 dosent have it, but you can't buy debadged grills for them anyway
it's stil not growing on me through

Its more it feels like a step backwards from a design point of view. As the MK4 doesn't have the notch I figured that would be the case with the 5. Feels like a desperate attempt to add back in some caddy dna...........

I do agree, even though the Mk5 looks so much more modern and up to date, a clean MK3/MK4 still looks as you say, like a caddy should.

I think this "caddy DNA" only means something to us lot, the enthusiasts.

Shame really, when an supposedly evolution, as you say goes backwards

I do not like the Panamericana/Alltrack/Cross version, which would be the one I would buy (if any). I would like an updated platform, so maybe I'll have warmed to it in a few years. I still don't like the Mk4 Alltrack, compared to the Mk3 Cross, and that's been a few years already. I suppose it's a good thing, having a car that can last longer than 5 years, instead of being compelled to upgrade every time...

Pros:
- Updated platform
- Modern dashboard

Cons:
- Too much unnecessary detail in the side panels
- Too many chrome accents
- No electric/hybrid version

Just noticed the startline van equivalent has the extended grey bumper on the sides so color coding will not be as elegant as the passenger versions.

Perhaps if/when a new Touran is launch that will release some potential parts for modifications. I seem to recall some of our European colleagues gained access to Mk4 parts before the van was available in this country.

The front looks OK, as does the interior, but the rest...NO! As others have said, that side rail looks awful, as does sticking the letters C A D D Y on the rear grab handle.
I have a mk4 which I'm more than happy with :)

That's interesting, still curious if it'll be available with fog lights and how they would look with the honeycomb grill.

Agree with others.
Flanks, rising line and rear side windows, plus the tail lights, look like like they are straight from the Ford Connect design manual.

Spotted another one waiting to board the ferry to Germany. Camouflage front but this is the first time I've seen it with fog lights.

It appears to have a woefully under powered engine line up.

Max 112PS??

Also noticed the roof lining is now gone from inside the load are on the van.

TGI will be the most powerful engine with 130 hp, I'm quite excited about that since it's a good upgrade from the current 1.4 110 hp TGI.

The TGI version will not be available in the UK.
