Adjust Headlight sensor settings/adjustment

Post by Ripley55 »

Chaps
I have a question
I just saw @Rhodesian75’s question over on the ‘what did you do to your van today’ section, and it’s prompted me to ask ?
I thought my sensor (2018 Highline Caddy Maxi Life) was up on the mirror ? Mine work fine, Tunnels etc. But lately, seem to come on more than say my Golf ? It can be bright sunshine, but going down a tree lined lane, they just come on, and take an age to go off, and bingo, as soon as I pass down another street or lane they come on again.
I’ve been looking on here for a solution, and I’m thinking that adjustment can be made in VCDS ? Can anyone confirm or deny :D :D
Where would I look in VCDS ?
Cheers
Dave

I haven't seen an adjustment, but AFAIK the sensor is on the dash, in the center, next to the windshield. The sensor in the mirror is for the wipers, and (if fitted) high beam assist.

Thanks
@anoneamous :D :D see it now :lol:
So does anyone know if this sensor’s sensitivity, can be adjusted via VCDS, or is there a module that can be manually adjusted ?
Cheers

Headlight sensor is on the windscreen

I’ve adjusted the settings on other vag cars but not the caddy as I don’t have it
But here’s a guide
