New To Caddy's - EX BG Van Question

Hi All

I've been checking this forum out for a bit looks like the place to get the right info!! Bought an Ex BG Caddy Maxi earlier this year and been driving it for just over a month now and really like it other than two (obvious) things......

The ride is like a barge on stilt's and the power from the 1.6 is below par...... Especially as it has the limiter

So I would like to get these things sorted. Does anyone out there have a recommendation for remapping in the Guildford area at all? Been on Superchips and looking at around £400 inc vat. Does that sound right or are there more affordable options.

I've seen a few good posts on the coilover and lowering side of things but again if there are any recommendations for who to use in the area that would be fantastic.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to caddy2k and to the EX BG club.
When I got my caddy one of the first things I did was to get the limiter taken off and got it remapped to 140bhp your be surprised how much more power you will get. I only paid £240 for mine but I’m down in Devon and got it done by a local garage/remapping. You might want to check out some more places and check the feed back from other people.
As for a lowering kit I used a Vmaxx lowering kit but some people like the stance plus kits it all depends on your budget.
Once again you should shop around I’m sure you will find some very useful information and some very helpful people here.
