Fixing off Centre rear wheels

Post by michealcaddy »

So I had a v-Maxx lowering kit installed at the back but the wheels seem to be slightly off Centre, maybe half an inch. To fix this, must I take off the whole kit and reassemble?
Thanks in advance

Hi mate, You can buy wheel centralising plates from reflex auto design or similar. I think you can loosen the shackles and insert them.

Just make sure you buy the correct ones for your leaf spring. So, before you buy, check whether you have bolt or locating pin in your leaf spring.
Thats assuming your wheels are shifted towards the front, not the lateral shift?

Ok, so it was tightened up incorrectly. Loosen up bolts on the both ends of the leaf springs and the hangers, and tighten everything up with the wheels on the ground or ramp. Basically the van weight should be on the wheels when tightening bolts up. In addition to that, polybushing all the rear is highly recommended.

I had this issue when lowering my van and as @Giddy says.. We loosed everything back off and it seemed to correct itself.
