Definitely not a job for the driveway, it's quite difficult to get the neck out even when the van is up in the air on a lift.
You'll need to rear left wheel off, arch liner off, undo the screw at the filler then drop the tank by removing the two straps.
The fuel pipes and pump loom will flex enough to give you access to unclip them.

Bit of a hijack, sorry! Can you access the tank from inside the van at all? Is there a fuel sender anywhere?

No pal you cant, unless your handy with a grinder and want to cut away the floor above the sender unit.

Where abouts would it be? Could be handy for access in the future
