Fog Light Issues

Post by BlackEdition2014 » Mon Jun 01, 2020 9:41 pm

Hi guys,

I am new to the forum and am looking for some help.

I have 2014 Black Edition Caddy, and the front drivers side fog light will not turn off.

The switch is off and the key is out. The only way to keep it off is to remove the bulb.

Does anyone have an idea on what could be causing the issue?

Thank you

Anyone have any ideas?

Seems an intermittent fault, but came home to a flat battery today because of it.

Thank you

Are they factory fogs or have they been retrofitted?
When you remove the lamp, do you get a error warning?

Ok, there have been some instances where people have had weird things happen and disconnecting the battery for a few minutes has sort it out.
Have you or can you try that and report back?

Hi mate, the battery has been disconnected and the problem still persists. Any idea on what to try next? Thank you

Without checking with VCDS it's difficult to say or sure. Is it possible someone has messed up the coding at some point?

It’s possible, I have only owned the Van since February. I will take into the garage for a scan/diagnostic. Thanks for your help.
