Fitting a Touran centre console
Hey guys,
I’m about to fit a touran centre console with the ratchet armrest. Just wondering how you fix the rear half of it down to make it secure.
I’ve checked the how to section but didn’t see anything.
Thanks In advance.

I’ve bought every nut, bolt, screw there is for the console from vw Pat. So do the two slide bolts down the side line up Pat mate? I know the front is all the same but my lad said the sides don’t line up and the two screws in the cup holders go to nothing.

Re: Fitting a Touran centre console
Do you have a complete centre console with inner air ducts or just outer skin?

That's my inner parts fitted, it's Caddy 4, but how the centre console fits is no different to any other Caddy
Cup holder screws are screwed to the two speed nuts you can see in the middle.

Ok cool. So take off the outer shell with Armrest and fit the inner section first? It just threw me as it came complete minus a broken vent, cupholder lid and surround which I’ve now replaced with new ones.
How does the inner section hold secure then at the back?
Cheers

Re: Fitting a Touran centre console
It's a solid square-ish piece, that gives all the structural strength and is bolted to a handbrake frame.

That’s the diagram I ordered all my bits and bobs from. Haha.
Any ideas on the front section of air ducting mate?
I hear it’s a y shaped piece I need but it doesn’t show on Etka.

Arrr right. I thought there was another section at the front that I needed from the Touran. So that the floor vents and console vent work too. I thought the vent might be different at the front as the caddy doesn’t normally have the console vent.
