MFSW options?

Post by Riggers82 »

I’m aware that you cannot just fit any MFSW to any van, but can anyone give me examples of what wheels will fit into my 2014 SWB Caddy? Many thanks...

Thanks Doc, that’s awesome, thanks very much. This may be a stupid question but I don’t currently have cruise control, is it just a case of getting a MFSW with the option and getting it coded to activate cruise control or do I need to buy additional parts for this?

Cruise control via the MFSW is not a simple installation on your caddy, it's much simpler to install the cruise via stalk.

if you dont have now CCS , seems your module is lowline
to make CCS via Stark , and MFSW - you need that + highline SWCm

calculate cost of first

and if you want CCS from MFSW - you can use my module from www.xhorse.uk
this module require only MFSW with CCS , all other can be keep as is now

In fairness, CCS is not my highest priority, although if it’s on the wheel I end up buying obviously I would want it to function.

I’ve just had a look on your site and I’m assuming the module required is determined by the part number on the wheel?

Sorry for all the questions but I’m new to this and want all my facts right before I start buying the wrong things!

I need to work out all the approximate costs so I can figure out which wheel to look for...

To start retrofit, you need vcds.
When you get vcds , make autoscan and send from page
Without vcds...waste of time

I’ve got a VW mechanic mate who’s got VCDS, he’s going to do any required coding once fitted.

What information is required from VCDS initially?

I’m struggling to understand what you’re asking of me?

I need to know how I choose a module, so I can start and get the process underway??

Are you saying I need to scan with VCDS first? That’s what I don’t understand.

I was under the impression I only only needed VCDS after installation in order to code?

Not trying to be awkward, I’m just a beginner and need some guidance.

Many thanks.

Do an auto scan and send the output, spacewalker is the main man when it comes to mfsw and he can tell you what is needed and will or won’t work

I’m looking to do a MFSW on my 2016 caddy, the swcm no. Is
5k0953521fs, can’t seem to find this on any of the parts tables on Ross tech. Does anyone know if this needs upgrading to high line module and if so which one ?

That’s a part number for the stalks not the swcm. I had exactly the same problem but in reverse. There are too many labels around the steering column :D
