So picked up a mk4 dash,cluster and climate controlled yesterday ,bargain at $250 Au ...

I tried to swap a highline cluster but the immo5 was having none of it. Make sure you seek out a good tec who is a wiz at that sort if thing.

At present I've a 1T0 920 872 F and hopefully looking at getting these working ,hoping someone can tell if it's possible and what tools are needed to code them...Image

thanks billy ,ive done a few mk4 and mk5 golf clusters in my time,really just need to know what tools people are using...

The instrument cluster you have there is the very latest Caddy4 type with component protection.
You'll need an official legitimate version of some instrument cluster tool for this.
VVDI, AVDI, are just two of the possibilities.

hi doc ive now got a set of 5k0920860f and 5k0920861 both 2009 clocks,any idea if these are easier to code it mate..thanks

In terms of labour, all are pretty much the same amount of work.

ive got carprog here,i was able to read the 24c32 eeprom chip on a set of 5k0920870f clocks
i cant find a 24c32/64 chip on my 5k0920860f clocks,were is the info saved on these ones...

Will this tool be able to program black and white display into a existing red display on my caddy and up to what year of cluster is possible..ImageImage

From my experience, the EEPROM, whether it's 24C32 or 24C64, is in the same location just above and left of the speedometer stepper motor.
